Mr. Farber is an experienced litigator and, as a graduate engineer, concentrates his expertise in the areas of construction related matters including, large loss property damage claims, Labor Law and other personal injury claims, as well as the professional liability defense of design and delay claims against architects, engineers, and other design professionals. He also serves as counsel to many design firms, property owners, real estate developers and contractors. Mr. Farber is a member of several design professional organizations and societies, is a frequent lecturer on relevant topics of interest, and also provides accredited continuing education courses.

Mr. Farber is also a LEED® Accredited Professional, and a Board Member and the General Counsel of the United States Green Building Council L.I. Chapter.  As a recognized authority on green building, Mr. Farber provides counsel to construction and design professionals, as well as owners and developers on the LEED® certification process, risk management, contracting issues, and insurance coverage matters, uniquely related to green building projects.  Mr. Farber also frequently lectures and provides educational seminars on green building risk management. 

Mr. Farber has also represented attorneys and accountants in the defense of malpractice actions and defended asbestos claims. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Farber received an engineering degree from the University of Michigan, and was employed as an engineer for a Fortune 100 company. Mr. Farber received a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law. Mr. Farber is admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of New York and Connecticut; the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern & Northern Districts of New York; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
